Description: Offering this one knife Saji Takeshi Deba 165 knife with custom Saya-wooden sheath. I’ve looked and this is the only Deba I’ve seen from Saji. I don’t have any information about what type of steel it is. This was purchased in Japan and has never been used. Still in original box and wrapping, it was made to be a bone chopper. It has a hefty weight and a good feel. The custom handle has a clear coat, and there is beautiful burling to the wood, probably rosewood, along with the signature metal inlays. Saji is a very old blacksmith and won’t be making knives for much longer. I appreciate his lifetime of craftsmanship. His prices have been going up over the years and will continue to do so.
