Description: This scarce 1900s "National" litho 50 cigar humidor tin, measuring 5 3/8" x 4" x 6 1/8", is in very good condition with one dimple dent in the lid, a very small spot of superficial rust on the interior side and some minor age related paint scratches and chips. Much of the original high gloss finish remains. The hinge is in excellent working order. This very attractive green tin was made by Heekin Can Company, Cincinnati, OH. It features the bold red, white and blue emblem of the "National" cigar brand trademark. The cigars were manufactured by the Cigar Manufacturers Co-operative, Company, Cincinnati, OH in Factory 12, 1st District of Ohio. Cincinnati was one of the first cities to unionize its cigar workers. This tin is very scarce and important in cigar manufacturing history.
