Description: This is an antique American sterling silver baby food pusher by the famous silversmiths, Unger Brothers. The pattern is known as Cupid's Nosegay and was introduced in 1904. It has at least three children's faces on it, amongst flowers. It is a swirly, art nouveau design. These were made to help children learn how to use utensils, and it is very practical, used instead of a knife. Some makers are beginning to manufacture them again, a great idea. It is about 4" long. Maker's marks: "Sterling UB Copyright 1904". Weight: about 24.2 grams, almost an ounce of sterling silver. Engraving: initials on the blade section. Condition: Some light surface wear, not too much, including what appear to be tooth marks on the blade!
