Description: You are bidding on a freshly pulledScotty CameronCircle T: For Tour Use OnlyGen 3 Putter Shaftband The black/gold/red Circle T Shaftbands have been around since 2006. During that time there were some minor rolling changes from Gen 1 to Gen's 2 and 3. I have them shown side by side for comparison in the photos of this listing. Gen 2 first rolled out in 2015, then Gen 1 came back in 2018 followed by Gen 3 in 2019. In 2020 Gen 1 came back. I have no idea the rhyme or reason to the changing of the generations of the shaftbands. As of the present time, Gen 3 is what is available from the Custom Shop and on new putters sold from the Gallery.Hello fellow Scotty enthusiasts, my name is Bill Heard. I’ve been selling grips, shaftbands, head covers, and everything else Scotty on EBay since 2005. In that time I’ve sent literally thousands of putters to the Custom Shop, which also means that I’ve personally pulled thousands of grips and shaftbands – that’s a ridiculous amount of experience with Cameron putters. So what’s the deal with shaftbands? When you send your putter to Scotty’s Custom Shop for service, you can choose to have one of a couple dozen different shaftbands applied to your putter. Very early on in my Scotty business, I received a shipment of putters back from the shop and found that the shaftbands were applied loosely. So I pulled very carefully, listed the good ones on EBay and the rest is history.A couple of things you need to know: First off, there are a lot of fakes out there. Remember that to get a shaftband, you have to send your putter to the Custom Shop to get a grip installed on it, so if someone is only selling shaftbands, but no grips or other Scotty Custom Shop gear, well you probably know what you’re getting.Second, some sellers remove bands in such a way that destroys the adhesive so that they cannot be reapplied. I have seen cases in which the seller adds a layer of aftermarket adhesive to the band, trims the edges and sells the band. True, it’s an authentic band, but would you really want to pay $10 or more for it?So how do mine stick when others don’t. Well, I send a lot of putters to the Custom Shop. That has given me a lot of practice (I’ve pulled literally thousands of shaftbands) and a lot of inventory from which to choose. If I do a bad job of pulling the band, I throw it away, and I’m pretty picky. My process has evolved a lot since 2005 and I’m always trying new techniques to make it better. You know my authenticity guarantee: others say it, but I PROVE it. If you want proof, just let me know and I
