The S80 is widely regarded as one of the best all-around mouthpieces for intermediate to advanced level players. This piece is ideally suited for all varieties of 'legit' music, such as concert/symphonic band, orchestra, sax quartet/chamber ensemble, and solo classical performance. It will also work for jazz and contemporary styles in a pinch. The C* facing is the most popular. It is more open at the tip than a typical 'stock' or student level mouthpiece, but not so much as to be difficult to control. This mouthpiece is in very good used condition. There are a few scratches on the exterior of the shank, and the rubber is discolored as seen in the pictures, but the facing is perfectly smooth. There are no tooth indentations on the beak. This mouthpiece has been cleaned/sanitized. These sell for around $250 for a brand new one on ebay, and the cost at a brick and mortar music store is much higher.
