Description: This antique Chinese belt features a combination of dragons and tigers in a bamboo forest. The belt is made of white metal, likely paktong, an early white brass. Markings: each element is stamped on the reverse (see photos). Measurements: 30” in wearable length (30-3/8” with the hook clasp) x almost 1-7/8” wide at the buckle. Condition: 2 dragon whiskers are missing from 2 separate discs, the belt has been lengthened by the addition of several slightly longer and slightly darker links.
