Description: For sale are a set of two (2) matched demitasse or espresso saucers by Copeland Spode in the Gainsborough pattern. The small coupe plates are decorated with a variety of floral studies developed by Spode artists with a bunch of large red, blue and yellow blooms in the center well..The Marlborough shape coupe shape saucer has an embossed rim with slight scallop edge. Both pieces are in very good condition with fine crazing overall (photograph 12). This is a matched pair with slightly different warm white colors (towards yellow undertone) and diameter. The size difference is hard to see & hard to measure, but obvious if larger is stacked on top when picked up. One saucer is impressed for Copeland Spode; both pieces are marked on the bottom in brown for Copeland Spode Great Britain including pattern name. Approximate Measurements4 1/2" diameter7/8" high
