Description: St Thorlak of IcelandSingle Decade RosaryThis circular-style single decade rosary has a 1" gold-toned centerpiece with a full color picture of St Thorlac on the front and a textured back. The centerpiece was handmade in France. The 1-3/4" silver-toned San Damiano crucifix was made in Italy and has one half of the Prayer of Peace by St Francis of Assisi on the back, in English. (We include a card with the full prayer plus info on the crucifix.) The rosary itself was designed and handmade by me in the USA. All fifteen beads are 8 mm, smooth, round, natural, genuine semi-precious gemstones. The two Our Father beads are Moss Agate. He was not officially a saint until Pope St John Paul II canonized him in 1984, and proclaimed him the patron saint of Iceland. Perhaps due to certain behavioral characteristics that he exhibited, it is thought that he may have been autistic, and this has led to him being considered as the patron saint of people with autism. He is also the patron saint of fishermen. The prayer cards which come with our rosaries and medals are home-made, created using a "greeting card" program on my computer and printed in full color on high quality paper. Although they ae not like the usual, smaller professionally printed prayer cards, most of our customers prefer them since they are like a pamphlet with 4 "pages" and several images, prayers, patronages and often other information about the saint of Catholic devotion.
