Description: You're buying the Stanley keyhole style lever cap shown in the photos.This cap measures just under 2" in width, and fits #4 & 5 planes.Like most caps of this vintage the original nickel plating was mostly absent.The facing surface of this lever cap was carefully and lightly resurfaced to remove rust. ALSO, THE BEARING EDGE OF THE CAP WAS SLIGHTLY GROUND BACK TO REMOVE DEEPER CHIPS.THIS CAP IS THERE FOR APPROXIMATELY 1/16" SHORTER THAN A STOCK CAP.This modification should have little effect on the function of the plane.A good user cap carefully cleaned and lightly oiled.
