Star Trek TOS Captain Kirk Original TUNIC Fabric Paramount Stock Prop Uniform

Description: On a nice 8 x 10 inch "marble" background, showing the USS Enterprise, ready to frame.Please note : Not repro ! Original fabric used for TOS command uniforms tunics (Patch is repro for presentation) came from the old rolls stock of Paramount, 3rd Season area : Own a Piece of History ! Original fabric sample : 4 inch x 3 inch samples (10 cm x 8 cm).As in the show, the fabric could be seen green or yellow, depend of the light. Obtained directly from Paramount Studios, May 1987, sale of the last roll.Sorry, No COA, the roll was used by 1st owner to provide swatches, then few larger pièces : I bought the last one in the early 2000s. Patch is repro, it is ready to be added with tape in the back, but you also can frame with your own patch, if you have a vintage one. Use of the Polyester Fabric began in the Third Season. The velour that had been used up to that time, was shrinking every time it was cleaned. So, a more durable Fabric that matched the established colors was found. These pieces were part of that what was left over when the show ceased production in 1969, after a part was utilized for the Phase 2 pre-production uniforms. This is the original vintage fabric, in perfect condition.From Paramount stock to make the Command Uniforms : Kirk, Sulu, Chekov, etc. Know history since the 1987 sale, that use this Fabric : - 2x2 inch samples sold on Movie Exchange certificates - TOS Crew Relic Costume cards, From the Archives - A strip of this fabric was sold September 2019 at the Trekcetera Auction ($ 250 + premium), this piece was obtained from my own stock, it came from the same roll. The last photo is the large piece, not included. In the 2000s, I did made 6 of this VIP presentation, this is the last one (that I had kept for myself), No more will be proposed.
