Description: The Beatles: Authentic signed Qantas Airlines with over sized signatures of John Lennon, Paul McCartney,George Harrison and Ringo Starr with Paul adding “Beatles”. Authentic sets of Beatles signatures are getting much harder to come by and this set of signatures are nice and large. These ink signatures were signed by The Beatles on Thursday July the 2nd 1964 during flight The Beatles were on returning to England from their highly successful Australasia tour. Comes with a letter of provenance which reads in part: “My father was working for Shell in Djakarta, Indonesia at the time and flying to London on business in July 1964. Now, at 92, his memory is failing somewhat, but he did remember that he had taken a connecting flight from Djakarta to Singapore, where he then boarded the Qantas plane the Beatles were on. Before boarding, he recalls that two of them, he’s pretty sure they were Paul and Ringo, disembarked and made an appearance. Once on the plane, he sat across the aisle from the four for the flight to London Heathrow, arriving in the morning of 2nd July 1964.” Robin.... Last Name and address withheld for privacy. The large Qantas Airlines menu measures 7 X 8” closed and measures 14 X 8” when opened up and is in Excellent condition with normal toning (see scans),especially for an item that is now over 54 years old.
