Description: Beautiful April 1926 "The Dance" Magazine, the Hollywood Number. A MacFadden Publication, formerly Dance Lovers Magazine. Great cover illustration of ballerina Ruth Pryor Nice Indian style cover art with a signature that looks like Currie Bell. Great large size, at 10" x 12 3/4", with 64 pages of articles and fun ads. I looked through it quickly and found stories on talkies, jazz, stars of the west, Hollywood horoscope, studios of the west and a lot more. Plus amazing 1920's fashions and hairstyles! Complete original edition in pretty good condition for its age -- the main problem is extensive damage to the binding as shown, about 2/3 of the way down and similar damage to just about 1" of the top left edge of the first4-5 pages. The cover will probably detach soon. Otherwise with minor expected wear, like light cover soil and wear, edge wear, maybe some finger marks, some light discoloration on some page edges, light rust on visible staples on first inside page, light musty smell from storage, minor creasing. Perfectly readable though. I don't know how to grade magazines and this is what I see from a pretty quick look, so please don't expect perfection from a nearly 100 year old magazine, and ask any questions you might have. Great for someone who loves dance or the 1920's! Please see our other listings for more The Dance from the same period.
