Description: "The Esquire Girl Calendar" is a 1947 complete pin-up calendar featuring the work of Alberto Varga. Alberto Vargas (1896-1982) was a Peruvian-American painter of pin-up girls and is regarded as one if the finest artists in his genre. Vargas dropped the "s" from his surname when he began working for Esquire magazine in 1939. The 1947 calendar is 8.5" x 12" in size and is in excellent condition. It comes with its original envelope that is in good condition. Please see the included photos as a condition guide. This calendar will be shipped flat.
