Afterlight is a term coined in the 1800s. It describes two things; the time of twilight just as the sun is setting before nightfall (the golden hour), and the idea of retrospect. This edition of the deck was a chance for me to look back at my previous work and honor those humble beginnings while using new skills to refresh some of the design elements. The dusky purple alongside the gold gilt edges encompasses that magical twilight hour where the waking and sleeping worlds overlap. It was the perfect descriptive word and I'm so excited to share it with you.
