Description: Very TLC lot of Topper dolls may have stains, missing hair plugs, missing lashes, blue faces, dings/tears in the vinyl, green knees, loose joints and other issues not mentioned. Great for customizing I do combine shipping. Please ask questions before purchasing. Buyers Beware! Lot of sellers are misrepresenting dolls. Be sure you ask questions and educate yourself. NOTE-Vintage Topper Dawn Dolls have pink, peach, and coral lip color. They do not have bright red, plum or wine lips. They do not have painted fingernails or earrings. If a doll has any of these characteristics, they have been customized and could permanently damage the doll. Ink from Sharpie markers have chemicals that will damage dolls over time. They have been used on various "customized" dolls to add eyeliner, lower lashes, nail polish, as well as touching up boy hair paint. White lips are due to the oxidation of the paint originally used by the factory. Green eyes on Dale and Angie dolls are caused by the copper used in the brown paint. These characteristics should not be considered rarities. Vintage Dawn dolls DO NOT have lashes that are "bushy", they should be perfectly straight, not uneven. They are should not be two different colors or shades of brown. Look at the hair, if it looks like tiny beads on the top of the head, then some sort of spray has been used to keep the hair in place. Most chemical hair sprays on the market will damage vintage dolls over time. Look carefully at faces, if you see crooked or smeared eyeliner, the doll has had work done. If a doll has a hat, be sure you can clearly see the eyes. Hats easily hide flaws. Topper was not careless when painting dolls. Excess paint is due to work that was done to the doll. Be sure the seller mentions it, otherwise, move on to the next seller. If they have heavy dark eyeliner or the lower painted lashes are very dark, they have been painted. If you are not sure, look at other boxed dolls and compare the makeup. Sellers that do not disclose work done to their dolls are being dishonest and you should not buy from them. Look at a seller's prior sales for things that don't make sense, like large price tags on common items. Look at bidding history for common patterns of buyers. A buyer who has lower feedback and only bids on multiple items of one particular seller could be a sign of shill bidding. Shill bidders will intentionally jack the price so the seller gets more money from you. Don't be fooled by terms like Rare or One of A Kind (OOAK). Clothing made in China for 1/12 scaled dolls and put on Dawn does not make something rare or one of a kind. Boxed Topper Model Agency Dolls, Majorette Dolls, and Flower Fantasy dolls all have packaging that could easily be opened and closed. A seller could put a played with doll in one of those boxes and claim they are never opened or used. Be cautious when buying these dolls. Ask questions, look closely for things that don't make sense. Compare them to other similar boxed items. Standard Topper boxed dolls have plastic cellophane that can be replaced. Look closely at these packaged dolls and compare them to other similar boxed items for general consistency. Not sure? Move on, another will come along.
