Description: Towle Sterling Silver Bread Tray/Dish Beautifully Chased Cut-out pattern around the edgesGorgeous piercing around sides. Nearly 10" long by 5" wide. Wonderful antique/vintage condition.Light surface scratching commensurate with age.There are two tiny pinpoints on the front, andone on the underside of the tray.(See last 2 Photos) I am not sure of the age.Towle Silversmiths was active from 1882 to present dayin Newburyport, MA.The lion inside of a "T" trademark that is on this piecewas first used in 1890.I suspect this is an old piece, because it had justthe trademark and word "Sterling" and notthe word "Towle" in addition.I have noticed this on other pieces I've seen.I am not an expert, so this is just a guess!
