A hank of 11/0 size seed beads has approximately 4500-5000 beads, or about 40 grams. There are 12 bead strands in a hank, looped and gathered at one end. The 11/0 size seed bead is ~1.8mm to 2mm in size. PRECIOSA ORNELA is one of the world’s most significant manufacturers of a wide range of types of Czech glass seed beads and beads. If you're getting beads on a hank, the best way I've found to use them is to hold the strands by the ends down low over a bowl. Cut the strands where they loop at the bottom and CAREFULLY empty the strands into the bowl. Pick out any stray pieces of string and then pour the beads back into their plastic bag.
