Description: For your consideration is this beautiful copy of Geschickter and Copeland's Tumors of Bone - a classic in the field of oncology. Listed in Garrison and Morton #4400. This is a magnum opus, 709 pages, covering all that was known at the time about bone tumors, including multiple myeloma. Many, many plates (406!!) and a incredible fold out chart (see pics). Early use of x-rays, and some of the new staining techniques for pathology. This is a must have book for anyone interested in the history of cancer care. Red cloth boards with only the slightest of staining on the upper back, and some slight fraying at base of spine. Gold text on spine is in good state of legibility. Binding is tight - this is a heavy and dense octavo. Pages are clean, without markings. Overall a really nice example of this classic in the history of medicine.
