Description: Here is a unique wire basket designed for collecting snails, escargot, in France. It is nicely made with rows of wire close together. In good vintage condition. Only flaw I find is missing piece on the side of the catch on the bottom which does not affect its use. No missing wires. Cleverly constructed as I was told that the snails prefer to climb up the sides and do not congregate on the bottom. The bottom is that part that opens in order to collect more snails. Who knew??
