Description: I think this was made in the 1880's or 1890's. The beautifully embroidered label says Hermann Schmidt, Berlin and included a street address. The frock coat has staining at the pits and moth damage on the right shoulder. See pics. Measures 19" at the pits, 17 across the shoulders. Length is 40" and vent comes in at 21. There is one inside breast pocket. Overall, it shows honest wear, good condition and minimal damage. The pants are about a 40 inch waist, 30 inch inseam with a rise of 12.75 inches. Measurement across the cuff is 8.75 and they are cut at an angle. There are 4 pockets and a watch pocket. They have a 5 button fly and cinch back. Cinch buckle is marked PATENT. The shawl collar vest is belted, has full ticking lining and 3 pockets. Some staining on the lining. Measures 15 inches at the shoulders and is 20 inches long.
