The ricasso is clearly stamped with the "Kissing Crane" hallmark and "KC 45 ROSTFREI," and the etching on the blade suggests production took place in Germany. The blade edge is clean and strongly appears to be original from the factory, only light evidence of age and handling can be detected. The blade opens manually and locks into place securely. The Walnut grip scales are in very good condition and retain a rich vibrant tone, though a few small blemishes are present.
