Description: This is an interesting set of surgical tools in a nice little wood case. I really have no knowledge of these types of things, and I can’t tell you if the tools are original to the case or anything of the sort. Apparently the two sets of three hooks on a ring were used post mortem, the ring being fixed to the table or bench and then the hooks attached to a section of tissue to hold the incision open to allow access for internal examination. At least that’s what the Internet told me. Everything appears to be in solid conditio. But the brass clasp thing on the inside of the lid is missing one of the little flaps (for lack of a better word). Again, I don’t know much about these items and I can’t provide any other information, but perhaps you know what you are looking at better than I do. The case measures approximately 7 inches wide by 2.25 inches deep by 1 inch tall. Please examine each of the pictures very carefully and judge the condition for yourself.
