Description: This Breitling Navitimer Airborne was made briefly in the mid-late 90's. The dial was originally navy blue, but over time, and with exposure to UV light, the blue has almost completely faded away to reveal the golden/brass sunburst, beneath. I like this dial the most with the four sub-dials, because it feels symmetric & balanced. I'm also a fan of the date complication being a sub-dial, rather than a window to a date wheel. The B33 movement is an ETA 2892-A2 with a modified date complication. The ETA originally has a date wheel, but Breitling converted it to the sub-dial at 12 o'clock. And being a common 2892-A2 ETA means maintenance and service of the internals will be relatively low cost for a chronograph, and easy availability of replacement parts. I've only owned it for a few years, and it has been one of my favorite watches. It came to me with unknown service history. On the wrist, the watch functions perfectly, but on a calibrated Witschi Chronoscope, it definitely looks like the movement could use a cleaning (see images for results). I thought about this a lot before listing it for sale. I didn't want to send it to Breitling for service, because I didn't want them to replace the dial or the crystal, or polish the case. If I kept this watch I would send it somewhere that I could control those aspects of the service. I, personally, would only have the movement cleaned, but the next owner may disagree. And for that reason, I chose to sell this watch as it is, allowing the buyer to have full say in that decision. This watch comes on the original 422A bracelet, the inner and outer boxes, hang tag, an original deployant clasp, and an original buckle, as well as the BluShark strap pictured. All manuals/paperwork are included EXCEPT the original warranty booklet. That is supposed to be filled out with the serial # and boutique info, from when it was purchased new, and that is MIA. It wasn't with the watch when I purchased it, unfortunately, and Breitling won't supply replacement paper warranty booklets (I asked). Anyone familiar with these yellow Breitling boxes will already know that they deteriorate. It's difficult to find one in even "ok" condition. This one is actually pretty decent. The anti-reflective coating on the crystal shows the typical aging for these old Navitimers. There are no notable gouges or scratches in the case or bracelet. The bracelet is currently sized for my 7.25 inch wrist (and I wear my watches loose). The lume will glow if charged in a very bright light, but it fades rapidly. If you want an impromptu time stamp photo, I'll happily provide one. I am not a business or flipper. The watches I'm selling are my own. It will be packed appropriately for safe travel, and shipped fully insured. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
