Folk art Hungarian hand embroidery using traditional motifs. Hand knotted silk fringe. I'm not sure what fabric is used, All hand made. Shown on a 21" round table. Beautiful rich coloring in deep purple, olive green, orange flower centers, a yellow beige and deep red outlining the dots. Cloth is a rich black, not sure what fabric is used, it is soft - I believe it's a silk, possibly an old soft cotton sateen. In beautiful old vintage/antique condition. Some loss to fringe length, see pics. No holes, tears or staining. Cloth is healthy looking and feeling. 1 pic shows backside of embroidery. I have not cleaned this, doesn't appear to need it now, and leave that to new owner as desired. Measures approx. 7-5/8" across at embroidered round, fringe approx. 4-1/2" to 5" (except the short area), so up to 17-5/8" overall including fringe.
