Description: A vintage gents Enicar 'Sherpa Divette' automatic dive watch from 1959. This is a very rare and difficult to find Enicar watch, especially in this condition! This series was released in 1958, and this particular watch is a transitional model from 1959 (case back interior is date marked). It has the second iteration of the handset with reduced lume, and the early caseback inscription with the word 'Sherpas'. The Divette was designed to be a smaller men's dive watch, between the large Sherpa Dive and small ladies 'Sherpa Mini Dive'. This makes it a very wearable watch. It's in excellent condition with minimal wear, especially considering it's age. The original bezel is glossy and very legible (though unfortunately doesn't spin). The dial and hands are in excellent condition with light, tasteful patina. Any scratches visible in the photos are on the crystal, not the dial. The case is unpolished with sharp edges and minimal wear. The crystal has some scratches, but I believe it to be the original. The crown is unfortunately an unsigned replacement. This watch comes on a new, high quality leather strap and also included is a genuine, original vintage Enicar beads of rice bracelet (see 1st and last 2x photos). The end links are non-original and slightly too small for the lug width. The movement is in gorgeous condition and is running nicely but I don't know the service history, so give no guarantee as to the timekeeping.
