Description: Nice old glass food jar with painted Ball zinc metal lid and wire handle. This lovely vintage jar makes for a great vase to display those spring flowers! It's two quart (half gallon) size, about 8 7/8" to the top of the lid, about 4 1/4" in diameter. Looks very good, glass is clear, no chips, cracks or roughness. Marked with “1557” and “10” on bottom underside. Circa 1930’s-1940’s. No manufacturing markings.Ball zinc lid has been painted black. Lid has porcelain liner on the inside.Item will be carefully packaged.
