It basically looks like they're in Don Draper's living room! I believe it was meant to be an ashtray, but it does not have the little grooves for cigarettes. I am listing it as a decorative trinket dish for whatever you want to use it for. It's 5.5" in diameter and not quite 1" tall. It's in excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks.
