Description: Up for sale is a unique vintage cedar heart shaped box from the 1950's. This originally was a valentine box with candy from the Richmond Candy Company of Chicago. This held the Lady Rich Superb Assortment. This was my friend's aunt's box for Valentine's over 60 years ago! The sticker from the candy company is still intact on the top of the box in excellent condition. This box was made to serve another purpose after the candy was gone....it can be a jewelry box....the mirror inside or to hold sewing notions....the spindles for thread. Most of the spindles are a little wobbly with age . They don't make candy boxes like this anymore! This was just kept in a closet in a smoke-free home. She passed away several years ago and my friend has had this in her closet in her smoke-free home the last several years. This is dove tailed and well made. See the pictures for greater detail and size as this is part of the description and will be the one you will receive. Thanks for looking! MS1-4
