Description: Vintage Homer Laughlin Sheffield Granada Dinner Plates 10” Set of 3 Olive Green Homer Laughlin Sheffield Granada Dinner Plates 10” Scalloped Set of 3 Olive Avocado Green - beautiful piece of mid century modern ironstone / stoneware. Perfect color for a plate! Granada was produced from the late 1960s and throughout the 1970s. The Granada shape was an initially a promotion for J & H International's Sheffield lines: Sheffield Granada (a specked green glaze) and Coventry Castilian (a gold glaze with black pattern). Both lines were sold as supermarket promotions. The shape was also used for the general trade and carried by various retailers. According to the HLC mold notes, by early 1967, Granada consisted of plates, bowls, shakers, butter dish (modified Orbit shape butter), teapot, jug, utility bowl, ashtray, sauceboat and coffeepot. Granada features round shapes with an embossed scalloped decoration. On flatware, the scallop is towards the rim; on the hollowware, it is almost mid-body. The hollow forms are cylindrical with a stretched appearance. This stretch feature is repeated with the handles. Sold as set of 3. No chips or cracks. Plates may have small factory production imperfections such as sand bumps, glaze pops, glaze misses, etc - normal part of factory production. Little to no issues on these. Glaze is shiny and bright! Overall plates are very clean, glaze and shiny and appear to have little wear. See all photos.
