Description: This doll is in amazingly good condition. There is one scratch/crack by the buttocks . See photos. But there are no cracks or any other damage that I could see. I did not undress the doll. Her eyes work perfectly. It has the red knees just like the Madame Alexander dolls. I saw somewhere that it may be a Bridesmaid doll and not a bride doll. It stands up quite well on its own. Her hair is a reddish-blonde color. She has blue eyes. it seems rare and hard to find for sure. Here is some history. The Horsman Company was the premiere doll manufacturing company in the United States starting in the mid to late 19th century and dominated the doll-making industry for well over a century. The E. I. Horsman Company was established in 1865 by Edward Imeson Horsman, Sr. Horsman was bought in 1933 and became a subsidiary of the Regal doll manufacturing company. I just wanted to share some of the research I found. I have looked long and hard enough to identify this doll. It is apparently from 1940-1950. I found this photo on a Horsman history website and this is my doll and it says it is from 1930's-1940.
