Description: VINTAGE 1950s, J.J. WHITE MFG. CO., USA, 10K WHITE GOLD, ART DECO DESIGNED, BLACK ONYX WITH DIAMOND ACCENT, MOURNING / COCKTAIL / SIGNET / PINKY SMALL PETITE BAND RING NO PERSONAL MONOGRAMS OR ENGRAVINGS, IN A US SIZE 3.5 or 3-1/2, BLACK ONYX MEASURES 10mm x 13mm, SETTING MEASURES IS 9/16" x 11/16", SHANK IS 1/16" WIDE, TOTAL WEIGHT OF 3.0 GRAMS Shows light wear from use and handling, including minor surface marks and scratches. It has been gently hand polished and ultrasonic cleaned in a mild dish soap, and it has nice shine, and is very clean. It is straight and round, not bent out of shape, stonework has nice color with no visible damages, has no personal monograms or engravings, with no major issues at all. It is lightly hallmarked on the inside 10K with the letter W inside a triangle shape, mark for historic and listed USA fine jewelry maker, J.J. White Mfg. Co. of Providence, Rhode Island. They were well known for their wide array of fine finger rings sold throughout major US retail stores and mail order catalogs. Center stone was tested with a Gemlogis Ciel tester and confirms diamond. Band was measured with a professional ring mandrel at a smaller US Size 3.5 or 3-1/2. HISTORICAL FOOTNOTE: The last photo shown was taken from a 1940s era Jewelry Trademark catalog and completely documents this mark and maker.
