Description: Rare Vintage Lacquered Bamboo Handled Basket This bamboo basket is VERY finely crafted. The sides are made from narrow fibers that weave and braid. The bottom is fortified with slats on the underside. The handles rotate down to hide out of the way; they are affixed with tiny bamboo bolts. The basket is lacquered for shine and rigidity.Measurements are approximately 11 1/2" long x 8 1/2" wide x 8 1/2" tall (when the handles are up) x 4 1/4" tall (not including the handles) Purchased at an estate, basket is in excellent vintage condition.
