Description: p30449. This large, 37 1/2" x 33 1/2", map is from the original French Survey in 1824-25. Published in Washington, DC., Oct. 1887. Numbered 1009. My photos of the island are very light, and in fact, the map is light but not as light as my photos show and it would show off well on a wall, etc. Heavy paper, no tears and clean except for one small spot shown in the last photo. There are, also, very light damp stains at right side, top and bottom. Stamp of Navy Dept, June 8, 1929 and 37th Edition, June 1920 have been added later. One neat, horizontal fold in middle.
