Description: Estate find. I bought it alongside an authentic breast plate cuirass armor from 1829. This helmet looks like it could be old, but am not sure how old or if it just a modern reproduction. It has what appears to he 3 bullet holes on the top, and one near the bottom. So guessing someone used it for target practice. It is uncomfortabke to wear at the moment because the ketal from the bullet holes is jagged on the inside. you will one to grind that metal down or put some padded in there before wearing. It has a dent on the top. It appears to have been maybe painted or coated on the outsode with some rust preventative or something. The inside shows corrosion. It has a metal band on the inside, whihc appears to maybe have held cloth or chainmail or something at some point. Please view all photos carefully for more details.
