Description: This sale features an 1914 $1.00 Federal Reserve Bank Note (FRBN).The Pictures shown - serial number A 2977836 A - are of the exact item you will receive. This limp note from the Bullen - Morss local signature combination (Fr. #708) of the popular 1918 series (with Teehee - Burke government signatures) has light to moderate rounding and wear on all 4 corners. There is evidence of several heavy vertical creases, a heavy horizontal crease through the middle, and lesser creases, folds, and wrinkles throughout. The bill is discolored from its use over the years, with several areas of brown and black staining scattered across both front and back; the total affected area is smaller than the blue seal. The bill has rough edges with multiple notches, small missing pieces, and tears; however none of the damage extends more than 3/8-inch into the bill. There are 7 pinholes visible when the bill is held up to light; also there is a larger hole - smaller than a serial number digit - in the right part of Washington’s portrait (see final close-up picture). Beyond these imperfections, you have a decent old FRBN from a very popular series, with a bold blue seal. The bill will be shipped FREE by USPS First Class Mail in a rigid protective plastic sleeve. Good Luck and happy bidding!
