VINTAGE TALKING STACEY BARBIE w/ TITAN RED SIDE PONYTAIL & SWIMSUIT

Description: Up for auction is a VINTAGE TALKING STACEY BARBIE w/ TITAN RED SIDE PONYTAIL & SWIMSUIT - MUTE 1967 Mattel, Inc. U.S. & Foreign Pats.Pend. Mexico. Her knees click 3x & hold 2x. Her hair does not appear to have been cut nor does she appear to have any missing hair plugs. She does have some loose strands of hair and some strands that have broken off. This particular Stacy was manufactured with her hair unevenly cut. Her hair has been washed and restyled. Her eyelashes have been rerooted. Her lips have been retouched utilizing acrylic paint and acrylic base blush applied. Her pull string does not pull out and she is mute. She has no chew marks, no pinholes, no nose nips, no green ear, no head splits. She may have scrapes, scratches, light staining &/or dents on her body as expected for a 50-year-old doll. She comes with a vintage pink, white, green and blue diagonally striped swimsuit with a gold bead button on the left upper shoulder. Her green bow is new and was made by me. PLEASE NOTE: I do not know her history as I am not the original owner. Her arms have faded and are lighter pink than her torso or legs. There is some flying on her right upper chest. I'm not sure if she was manufactured that way or if some previous clothing left the imprint. The material used on these dolls torso is susceptible to damage from prolonged wearing of clothes or prolonged pressure on any parts of the torso. Vintage talking Barbies were notorious for their legs breaking off shortly after purchase. This Barbie's legs were broken off when I purchased her and I have repaired them utilizing vinyl screws. Her legs do remain fragile but can be bent and straightened. Use care when moving her arms and legs. When applying the vinyl screws I likely destroyed the talking mechanism within the Barbie so if you purchase her with the intention of restoring her talking mechanism you probably can't. Her swimsuit is of unknown age and in fair condition. The swimsuit does have some fading, there is a run under the left arm. The elastic on the legs has pulled apart in the front and some stitching is missing. It may also have fraying, holes, runs, tears, fading, stains, torn seams, and torn hems. She was no doubt purchased as a toy and played with by children. She is not for the collector looking to purchase a doll in mint condition. Stand is not included. I have been repairing & restoring Barbies for over 25 years & spend many hours on each Barbie. I do my best to describe all flaws & repairs but may have missed something so please examine the pictures closely and ask questions as my vision is not as good as it used to be.
