VINTAGE TINPLATE SUBMARINE CK KURAMOCHI ~ 1930s WIND UP GYRO ~ LARGE 13 INCH

Description: Here we have a good example of the CK KURAMOCHI TINPLATE WIND UP SUBMARINE ~ IN GOOD CONDITION FOR DISPLAY. Please use all the photos to assess the condition, they are integral to the description. * Produced in the 1930s. Large model and measures approx. 13 inches long. It is c90+ years old. * Made by Kuramochi (Japan). * We have taken many photos, and as you can see, there are numerous scratches and paint loss/defects - please use all the photos to assess. Grey hull with cream deck and gold fittings; Two diving fins to front which can be moved up and down; 3 blade propeller; Union Jack flag to rear (mast drops into locating hole and would benefit from some attention - photos 10 & 11); Rudder stamped 'foreign - photo 12 & 13 ; Fixed stand (photo 18). The zig zag piece and its two support struts would benefit from some attention, as not fixed securely and the zig zag piece is bent a little - see photos 6 & 7 as we have tried to highlight this. Small hole to rear has remains of cork bung (photo 19). Approx. weight before packing to post 400g. Please note ~ We are reliably informed that the wind up handle operates a small gyro motor, when wound, the prop should spin. This is NOT working. The fixed handle on the deck to wind up the motor only spins anti-clockwise and will not wind up clockwise. If you have the know how to fix this then even better. This item is being sold as 'not working and for display purposes'. There is no original packaging, however please be assured it will be well packed for its next voyage.
