Description: DESCRIPTION: I SELL ONLY WITHIN THE U.S. NO INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING OFFERED. I’m offering today an adorable and larger size baby doll from the 1950's era. She stands approximately 18" tall. She is made of vinyl and hard plastic, which is jointed at the neck, arms and legs. Her legs are slightly bent, but she stands well too. She has straight dark brown hair which is cut into a baby bob with bangs. She has been washed and sanitized prior to dressing her. I will start at the top of her head and work my way down so as not to omit anything in my description. Starting at the top of her head, she has dark brown rooted hair, which is accented with a custom made hair band. Her head band is made of wide red and white polka dot grosgrain ribbon, which I made a large bow and attached to a red elastic band. By doing this, it allows the bow to stand upright on the dolls head. By hand making these doll hair bands, you don't have to worry about them falling off and getting lost. It takes lots of time to create these hair bows for each doll, but I really want their new mommy's to be proud of their new dolly. As you go down to her face, she has single brown line for eyebrows. She has lovely green eyes, which open and close freely. She has her original eyelashes which have been spared the wrath of her previous little mommies. Her eyes look straight at you with such a sweet stare. She has a dainty petite nose with open nostrils for realism which flows down to her precious open mouth. Her lips are painted a pinkish/red color. She does have hole in her mouth for a bottle, but I do not know if it works or not. I do not give my dolls liquids for fear of doing something I should not have done. I'll leave that up to her new mommy. Her chubby baby cheeks have beautiful coloring, which really enhances those beautiful eyes she has. As I mentioned above, there are no markings on her neck or body to identify who she was made by. I chose red to dress this doll in because of her beautiful coloring and dark hair. When I was young, I was always so envious of girls with dark hair because I had blonde hair and hated it. When they would wear red, it really showed off that gorgeous brown tones in their hair. Now, aren't you glad to know why I chose red? Anyway, I had this fabric with little red cherries, but they are not bright red; sort of muted. The background of the dress is white cotton fabric. She has a peter pan collar which is trimmed with delicate white lace. As you go around to the back side of the dress, there are hidden snaps for keeping the dress in place. The bodice on the dress is high with long sleeves which come down a bit past her elbows. I trimmed them with ruffled white lace as well. I did choose a different lace for the sleeves. I gathered the skirt quite a bit for fullness and added a ruffle at the hemline of the dress. Under her dress, I chose a very full red and red glittery tutu with ruffles for lots of fullness. It looks so cute on her! Under her tutu, she is wearing red with white polka dot shorts, which match her adorable hairband. She is wearing bright red Mary Jane shoes, which come from my personal doll shoe collection. She will be coming along with her little "Sock Monkey" security blanket to keep her company to her new home. She is so sweet and will make someone very happy. My dolls are not played with by children who come and visit; I know that sounds mean, but sometimes they play too rough. My dolls are kept in a doll room specifically for them and are displayed for everyone to enjoy. All my dolls are truly loved and cared for as though they were my children. Their clothes are either original to the doll, made by me, or I've tried finding doll clothing from the same era as the doll or find clothing which match the personality of the doll. We do not smoke and I try very hard to keep a tidy clean home free of dust and odor. My dolls are clean and most of the time look as though they did when they were sold new. Depending on how old they are, I do try to be honest in detailing if some of the dolls have bruises, missing toes or fingers or other issues, but that doesn't mean they aren't worth having; for each one is like children.....they are all beautiful in their mothers eyes. If I've missed something it would never be intentional. SIZE: This vintage baby doll is a larger doll measuring approximately 18" tall. CONDITION: This doll is vintage, but in what I would consider good condition. Her body has been cleaned and sanitized. Her dark brown hair has been washed and styled. Her eyes open/close freely with her original eyelashes. She is jointed and poses quite nicely. She has all her fingers and toes. Her dress was made just for her. The photos really tell the story about this doll. She is a beautiful doll and one of a kind. Please view complete set of photos for thorough description. I hope you can take a few minutes to look at my other dolls. God bless you. Connie
