Description: DESCRIPTION: Lovely original watercolor painting of Venice Italy near the Piazza San Marco. The Doge's Palace at the entrance to Piazza is at the right with the Basilica di Santa Maria della Salute across the canal in the background. Gondolas and sailboats can be seen plying the waters. The painting is signed in the lower right corner, but I cannot make it out. I would guess the painting itself dates from the 1960s or after. The painting it professionally matted and framed under glass in a medium brown wood frame (looks like pecan wood to me). Overall size is about 13 x 16". The mat opening is 7 x 10".
