Description: Vintage Antique 1860's-1890's Victorian Brown/Red/Turquoise/Black Wool w/Velvet Trim Paisley Dress/Dressing Gown Wrapper. The dress is handmade in a vibrant, colorful paisley pattern wool fabric with black velvet trim on cuffs and pocket. It has long sleeves, dropped shoulders, buttons down the front, a bustle back, and a slight train. The dress is lined with a variety of interesting colorful/fabrics. In overall good condition for it's age and rarity, the dress shows much wear throughout and many areas of repair/reinforcement. The types of evident wear include splitting, tattering, pulling, and surface abrasion, also one broken button. There are examples of all of these in the photos. These flaws/areas of wear are documented in the photos which are the best description of the garment's condition. Sold in "as is" condition. I bought this on a whim 20+ years ago because I thought it was so strikingly beautiful, in a very fine antique store in Savanah, Ga. The tag noted it had been found in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. **It has not been cleaned, I was unsure of how to proceed with that - I meant to check into it but never did. Will be shipped USPS Ground Advantage. Measurements: Shoulder seam to seam - 21" Armpit to armpit - 19" Waist - 16.5/34" Sleeve length - 18.5" Length in front - 55.5 Length center back - 62"
