The wristlet style makes it perfect for a night out, especially for those, who love to dance. The black suede material with somewhat shiny top cover gives it an elegant look that would pair well with any eveningwear. This original piece is not just a purse, but also includes a powder compact, another space for cosmetics/cigarettes?, unused twist type lipstick holder and mirror for convenience. It is a specialty item that would be a great addition to any vintage collection. Made in the United States, it is a rare and highly sought-after item. This particular treasure was my late mother's, who loved to go dancing at wonderful nightclubs back in the 1950's and early 60's. She loved this wristlet. My dad and she often competed in ballroom dance competitions and were gold bar Arthur Murray members. I remember the parties as a very young child. Please note the loose powder is still inside, and I believe it is translucent powder. The bag does have some wear but is in great condition. There is definite tarnishing to the hardware and a few marks to mirror but still in very nice condition. Gold metal closures work fine as well as the outside expanded (accordion for more space) area with snap including an unused original comb. If you love to collect unusual brand name handbag/party collectibles from long ago, this is a great coveted by collectors hard to find one to add to your collection. I have cherished this wristlet remembering great memories but now as I become older, I wish to pass it on to someone, who appreciates quality and nostalgia.
