My discernment of the flaw consists of erosion of the glass under the twisted rope, consistent with the previous owner probably picking the tray up using the twisted rope instead of the fish handles, and by doing so, the twisted rope, once released, touched the glass with slight force. As you can discern from the pictures, there is tarnished on the fish handle and some gold loss, which is repairable. The tray is unique and would be a statement piece on any vanity, selling on various e-commerce sites starting at $395-$1500.
