Description: I have two square dance outfits to sell. The skirt feels like cotton and has been pressed to little pleats to make it bouncy. The skirt is dark blue and has some minor fading around the top of the waistband. The hook and eye pieces are missing from the back of the waistband, the zipper works well. The blouse is a peasant style. It has yellowing and the elastic feels like it is no longer so stretchy. You might be able to brighten it up with a wash and the elastic would not be really difficult to replace if you are handy. It has a couple of tiny spots and one underarm seems a little discolored. Of course, these have been stored for many years and will need to be cleaned. My people always stored these skirts in an old hose to keep the fluffiness in the skirts. (see last photo). I will also ship them that way. The age is probably from the early 1950s. These have been around as long as I remember, and I am almost 69. Since it is handmade, there is no label to tell the fabric. It feels like cotton but has been factory pressed into a crinkly type of fabric. It is almost like tiny pleats throughout the fabric. About 14.75" across the waist.About 33" skirt length Please see all photos and let me know if you have any questions!
