Because the dynamics and speakers required for digital playback must have sufficient gain, thus the KT120 integrated amp is the primary choice. The Capacitors is Made in Gemany by Mundorf. And orther electronic parts of the amp are made in Japan and Taiwan, and all manual scaffolding are hand made to ensure that the quality is stable and durable. The body is made of 1.6mm galvanized steel with metal powder coating, so it is scratch resistant. The pre-amplification uses a dual triode 12AT7 vacuum tube for medium amplification as a common cathode preamplifier. Both the input band switch and volume VR use Japanese ALPS, which is stable and durable. Input and Inverter StageThe common cathode input voltage amplifier is composed of the 12AT7, which is directly coupled to the phase inverting driving voltage, the amplifying and the long-tail inverter circuit is composed of the twin triode 12AU7 tube. The characteristic of this circuit is that the inverter stage and the input are directly coupled. The advantages are that there is small phase shift distortion and wide frequency range to the output signal. The 12AT7 and 12AU7 vacuum tube are standard vacuum tubes. There are various brands on the market, which can be replaced, added, and changed for your listening pleasure. Power Amplifier StageThe power amplifier uses a pair of high-power beam tetrode TUNG SOL KT120. The electrical characteristics of the KT120 are the high voltage can reach 700V and the screen-grid consumption can reach 60W. It is used to form a push-pull power amplifier circuit. The use of ultra-linear connection method and fixed bias can reduce the internal resistance of KT120 and maintain the advantages of high-fidelity output.Immediately after the KT120 is turned on you can feel the power and depth. The texture and low frequency are like no other and are much better than the 6550 and KT99. The factory’s original intention and design of this vacuum tube is to extend the life of the KT120. Choosing KT120 is a choosing balance between durability and quality. Output StageThe success or failure of a vacuum tube and amplifier lies in the output transformer. In the impedance power conversion process, high efficiency and low distortion are required, that is, excellent frequency response range. Therefore, this output transformer adopts Japanese-made high magnetic flux density iron core and multi-layer string and winding technology. The frequency response can reach 10HZ ~ 35KHZ plus or minus 0.5db.
