Description: Vintage Wedding Dress Dates to the 1940's Based on the measurements, my best guess is this is a current size 8 to 10 (see measurements below) Photographed on size 8/10 form Probably hand made Off-white satin Long sleeves with 2 satin covered buttons on each sleeve V-neckline Shoulders are embellished with beaded appliques Tulle lined floral cut-outs on the sleeves and skirt Empire waist with princess seaming that falls to a full A-line silhouette Long train Fastens in the back with 32 satin covered buttons (1 missing loop at the very top) There are "handles" on either side of the long train to hold it up while walking or dancing (see last pic) Measurements: Bust: 34-36 inches around Waist: 27 inches around Sleeves: 31 inches long (measured from neck edge) Length: 57 inches (measured at the side seam from underarm to bottom hem) Back length: 20 inches (measured from back neck edge to bottom of buttons) Back length: 104 inches (measured from back neck edge to bottom edge of long train) The bride who wore this in the 1940's was quite tall There are some dirt spots on the very bottom edge of the train. Missing one satin covered sleeve button (I would replace all with simple pearl buttons) Dress is used, but is in very nice condition with no damage that I could detect.
