Description: Offered is the vintage book "White House of the Confederacy-An Illustrated History", published in Richmond by Cadmus Marketing, Inc. in 1993. This book about the Richmond home used by Jefferson Davis during most of the Civil War appears to be a first edition. It contains over 100 photos and illustrations, most black and white but many in color. The original dust jacket is included. This may be an uncommon find; at the time of original listing I could not find another copy for sale on eBay. The book is approx. 12" x 8 3/4" and contains 112 pages. The book is in excellent condition. The blue and white hard cover has no wear, the silver words on the spine still shiny. There is no cracking inside either the front or the back cover. The white endpapers are clean. I see no missing or torn pages and all are well-attached to the binding and clean. I see no writing in the book. The dust jacket has a few short edge tears along the top edge and is lightly wrinkled, but is otherwise OK. I have a lot of experience with vintage and antique books but am not an expert so please let me know if my description is missing information and you have additional questions. I will do my best to answer them! Please take a moment to look at some of the other items in my eBay store!
