It's for use with most 24V multi-stage heat pump systems. It's also capable of scheduling heating and cooling stages, in spring and fall, to add humidity to the air. This thermostat is designed for 24-V multi-stage heat pump systems. The digital time clock has a 60-minute countdown in 1 minute increments with temperature set point adjustment of 1º, +4º F (0.6º C), and programming by day/month/year. It monitors supply voltage on receptacle terminals. Controls heating, cooling, and auxiliary loads, including gas / electric water heater (maximum 100 amps), heat pump compressor (up to 250 amps), indoor air handler, dehumidifier, ventilation fan (maximum 50 watts), lights, and valves. The Emerson 5-2 Day Programmable Thermostat is designed to control heat pumps by adjusting set point temperature, start and stop times, and compressor and fan start and stop.
