Description: This Western Electric made phone from the 70's is fully restored and ready to use. It has a modern modular back on it so you can snap it right onto a modern wall phone jack. No further wiring or adapters are needed. The handset cord is 12', a good length for pacing while talking. It's about twice as long as a standard desk phone cord. If you need even longer, I can do that upon request for no additional charge. If you want to put this phone where there is no wall phone jack, I can help you take care of this. Look for my listing for the wall phone kit and purchase that along with the phone. I'll refund back the shipping charge on the wall jack and send it along with the phone. Hard of Hearing: I do have special handsets available for the hard of hearing. These are original Western Electric G8 handsets that were designed specifically to go with Western Electric telephones. Condition: All of the phones I sell are refurbished to look and work like new. This includes cleaning and lubricating dials, cleaning contacts on TouchTone keypads, updating wiring. All phones are adapted for modular use, so all you have to do is plug the phone in and use it. The exterior of plastic and Bakelite phones are polished to a high polish using commercial buffing equipment. In the case of age discolored plastic phones, I have them repainted at a professional paint shop using the same materials and methods used by the phone company for a very durable, high shine. About Digital Dialing: If you have digital phone service, you will probably be unable to dial out with this phone. This is correctable by building a digital converter into the phone. With this device installed you will be able to use this phone on any digital system. You will even be able to use # and *. This extra installation is $65.
