Description: Description Wilhelm Kempff Live Concert Edition 1955 - 1969 Meloclassic 9 CD Box SetProduct introduction Kemp Live BOX released from MELCLASSICS! Beethoven with Regner: Complete Piano Concertos and others Treasure sound source 9 disc set 10 and a half hours! MELO CLASSICS has released an amazing set! A collection of live recordings by the great 20th century German pianist Wilhelm Kempf, 9 CDs, 10 and a half hours! All of them are treasures! First of all, Beethoven's complete piano concertos were performed on March 26 and 28, 1965, with the Staatskapelle Dresden conducted by Heinz Regner. The performance was so fulfilling that it wouldn't hurt to win this set just for these five songs. Although the 69-year-old Kemp plays the piano with the depth of a veteran, he also has a surprisingly bold expression during live performances, making us realize once again that he is a top-notch Beethoven player. And Regner, who was 36 years old at the time and carried the German tradition on his shoulders at a young age, brings out harsh, profound, yet flexible music from the Dresden orchestra. The third movement of the Emperor Concerto was a masterpiece and drew loud applause. All songs are stereo recorded and the sound quality is sufficient. Includes encores on both days. Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 15 with the Concertgebouw Orchestra conducted by Eugen Jochum was also very well performed. This is probably the first time that Kempff, Jochum and the Concertgebouw Orchestra have collaborated together, and you can hear Mozart's music in a relaxed, harmonious and flavorful way. It's a shame that the tape was not well preserved and the sound quality is not good for its age, but it's still a valuable performance. His recital performance in Potsdam in October 1963 was excellent. All four songs are Kemp's specialties and have been commercially recorded, but they capture the solid yet effervescent music of Kemp when he was at his peak at live shows. The treasure that Kemp accompanied was Beethoven's Cello Sonata No. 5, which he performed with the 81-year-old Casals at the Prado Festival. Casals and Kempff are known for recording Cello Sonata No. 1 in 1961, but this No. 5 was recorded live in 1958. Co-starring in this century will no longer be measurable by ordinary measuring sticks, and will give you a sense of fulfillment from experiencing something extraordinary. These 9 CDs are highly recommended not only for Kemp fans but also for those who like traditional German piano playing. Approximately half of the recordings, including Beethoven's complete works, are stereo! (STEREO or MONO is written on the paper sleeve containing each disc). The booklet also includes several valuable photographs, including one from his first visit to Japan in 1936.Work information Piano: Wilhelm Kempff Conductor: Heinz Regner, Erich Schmidt Orchestra: Staatskapelle Berlin, Beromünster Radio OrchestraContents Number of configurations | 9 pieces Track Listing 1.
