By Captain William Cornwallis Harris, Of The H.E.I. Company's Engineers On The Bombay Establishment. The book plate is titled "Burchell's Zebra And Brindled Gnoo". The paper is on heavier stock than the original printed pages of the book and retains the protective cover page. The lithograph measures 9 1/2" by 6 1/2". As seen in the photographs, there are areas of faint discoloration to the paper, but the image is vivid.Provenance of the Honorable Will Garwood (1931-2011) United States Circuit Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
